Seasonably warm weather continues for much of interior NorCal today, with the hottest temperatures of the year so far expected this afternoon.
Moderate heat risk is forecast across much of the northern and central Sacramento Valley today. Temperatures will peak this afternoon followed by a cooling trend for the remainder of the week into the weekend.
Warmer weather has arrived, but water temperatures remain cold. Mountain snow melt into creeks, rivers and lakes will keep waters running fast and cold. Even experienced swimmers can lose muscle control very quickly. Exercise caution in and around water!
